Hi Everyone,

I have three dimension state, country and district . We want by default in the chart expression should be show according to the district dimension , and remaining two dimension should be shown on the selection basis.

Please anyone suggest me to do this.

Thanks in advance.

If you're using QV11 you can use conditional expressions to show/hide dimension columns at need. See this blog post for an explanation: Customizable Straight Table

Hi Dhiraj.

I think the dimensions you have mentioned should be this hierarchy Country>State>District.

if it is so, then make a drilldown group with that hierarchy or if you are using QV11 you can active dimension conditionally.

Hi Dhiraj

You could use a Pivot Table, with District the first column, and the others after, saved with all dimensions collapsed.

Then when the user opens the document they will first see the values by District.

Alternatively you can follow previous answers, using a drill down or cyclic group, with District the first dimension in that group.

However, the key thing is whether you "Allow Session Recovery" on the server (System < Setup < Server < Documents). If you do, then whatever the user changes the chart to, it will open in that way the next time they view the QVW.

Good luck
