recreating Qlikview from prj folder

Hi,

I have created an empty prj folder (template-prj) near a template qlikview file. When I saved the file, it saved all the xml files to the prj folder. Now for testing, I deleted the template file and created an empty one with name template. I opened the file, saved it and closed it. However, this file is not fetching the properties/layout from the prj folder

Can someone please tell me how it works and how can I make the empty qlikview file load the layout from the prj folder

Shah

The qvw file name and the name before the prj suffix must be the same:

     Test.qvw

     Test-prj

It sounds like you used a different name. So the model and the prj folder could not associate.

Or created a new app and saved it as Test.qvw. That will overwrite the -prj folder.

Steps:

Create your file test.qvw and test-prj, save and close. Delete test.qvw.

Create a new app and save it with name dummy.qvw.

Close QlikView and rename dummy.qvw to test.qvw.

Now open test.qvw.
