Connecting to SAP without QlikView SAP Connector?

Hi,

Can anyone confirm, if one can connect to SAP from QlikView without using QlikView SAP Connector? A prospect of QlikView asked this question.


Although, technically it seems possible as we usually connect some database like Oracle , SQL Server etc.


However, i look forward to a second opinion.

Has anyone done it? What were the pros and cons of it?

I am also well aware of the fact that there exists a QlikView SAP connector. However, the customer is looking for some alternate options.

Hi,

Apart from SAP connector there is another connector you can use is XtractQV.

check it out on following link

http://theobald-software.com/en/xtract-qv-productinfo.html

But qlik is not authorizing this connector. I checked it personally. But this connector is working fine.
