I am attempting to extract data from SAP. I have followed the SAP Connector Manual, and every step has been completed successfully. I have successfully created a connection string for my script. When I attempt to load data from SAP using the Select SQL statement I receive an error:- NOT_AUTHORIZED - No authorisation to read table VBAK.
Does anyone have experience with this error?
I have attached the log file.
Hi,
check with Basis team or network admin whether required authorization provided or not to QlikView user.
Hi Sagar,
Thank you for your reply.
Based on the SAP Connector Manual, I assumed that importing the Transports, creating the user with User Type = Service, and assigning the role QTQVCACCESS to the user, would be all that is required for this to work.
Are there other preferences that need to be assigned to the user?
Nigel
Hi,
you can check it through SM51.
and after that you have to assign role to user in that server.
Hi Nigel,
You'll need to confirm you have access to table VBAK in SAP.
If you can access SAP, go to transaction PFCG, role QTQVCACCESS and display the role.
There are a few things you need to check:
1. Whether you're authorized for table VBAK:
Check in tab 'Authorizations', 'Display Authorization Data', node 'QlikTech Display':
Must have value '*' or at least 'VBAK' in the 'Table Name' field:
2. Next, check if both 'Authorizations' tab and 'User' tab have green lights:
If both checks are positive, you should be able to extract the VBAK data.
Best regards,
Zhou
