does anybody knows if the XPassword generated during a connection creation in qlikview could be moved on a different server?
If i move my qvw file apps in a totaly different envirmoment and there are no ports or name resolution problem do i need to re-create the connections nad re-enter password?
I think it should be fine. I've just done a migration to a new server and kept the connection values the same. Everything went fine. I assume Xpassword / Xuser is just a hash of the actual details.
