Access SAP R3 reports through QV SAP Connector

Hello

I was wondering if it is possible to access reports (not just tables) in SAP R3 though QV SAP Connector!

Thanks.

No, with SAP Connector you can only access Tables/Views. Now, if you write a "Z" program which submits your report then imports output list from memory and writes to a "Z" table, then you can read that "Z" table via SAP Connector into QV.

With the latest version, 5.3, you can also access SAP queries.

Hi QlikView masters,

I'm new in QlikView but our company has this BI Tools for several years. Since we have to migrate our ERP to SAP, so I have to migrate also our QlikView reporting to access the SAP database. I have read several article, the possible way is to install a SAP Connector in our QLikView environment.

I have installed the SAP 5.0 connector, before that I installed QlikView 8.5 Enterprise Edition to our Development Server. I also Installed .net Framework 2.0 and .net Framework 2.0 SP1 as the requirement. but unfortunately I don't have the SAP login WIndow to access the SAP Server after I click Connect.

Do you have any idea to resolve the problem, or is there any missing step of installation which is mandatory to be done? Since I'm new here, consider this question as my introduction in this community. Thanks in advance for the big help, I appreaciate it.

Hi!

please check Xtract QV on this page:

http://www.theobald-software.com/oe/cms/website.php?id=/en/index/products/xtractqv/sapr3access.htm

Just scroll down. Xtract QV supports ABAP reports as data source...

Kind regards,

Patrick

Hi Blueilham

It might be an idea to have .NET 3.0 or newer and you have to select the data source as SAPDSO (or SAPOLAP) before you hit the connect button to get the pop up sign-on box, once filled in this creates the conection string and then you can hit the DSO button (the 3rd button, script builder will change to DSO something) then you can go and find your ODS or cubes to extract from.

i've solved the proble in two way:

1) create on sap a webservice and after invoke it fron qlik

2) create a query on R/3 and import the result in qlik ( only with 5.3 connector)

both you can use abap code

I saw a demo of next version of SAP Connector coming in a month or so (I think April, or sometime close to it). Pretty smart. It can run the report in SAP and grab the result list, then you can parse it as you want before you do the actual load in QVW.

Nice work done by QV-SAP group, once again.

Dear

SAP R/3 Does not allow any external tool to acess the SAP report excluding SAP BI.

You Can Use SAP Method through JCO Connector but Can't Acess Report.
