SAP connector upgrade

Hello All,

How do you upgrade the connector ?

Do you uninstall  the previous connector and install the latest version ?

Any advise on it ?

Thanks,

Nisha

No, just run the new installer and it will upgrade the currently installed SAP Connector.

Note that depending on which SAP Connector version you are upgrading from, you may have to change your script code, your connection strings, both or neither. Read all release notes of all versions between the old and the new, or read Hakan Ronningbergs Release Notes Summary (PDF), which includes the important changes.

Hello Peter,

Thanks for the inputs.

It helped to install , however we are missing the transport folder all together. Any idea how can we get those ?

Nisha

Transports are included in the SAP Connector installation package. They're not available as a separate download anymore. If you want to get hold of the transports before upgrading the live SAP connector, install the SAP Connector on your laptop and navigate to

C:\Program Files\Common Files\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvSAPConnector\Transports

Make a copy of the files and directories and uninstall the SAP Connector. Voilà.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvSAPConnector\Transports

Can you post a screenshot of the content of the directory

C:\Program Files\Common Files\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvSAPConnector

on one of the machines on which you installed SAP Connector 6.5?
