Salesforce connector - Login failed premature end of file

Hello everyone,

Since around 9am this morning, I've been getting the below error message on the server when trying to connect to Salesforce using the Salesforce connector. Everything works perfectly on my own desktop, it's just an issue on the server. I've tried testing the connection in a new Qlikview document and every now and then (about 1 out of 15 tries) it will connect successfully however it fails the majority of the time.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Nothing has changed on the server as far as I can see in the way of updates etc and it was working fine prior to 9am. I've reinstalled the connector but that didn't fix it.

Just to give everyone an update: it started to work for me... No changes done form my end. It just started to work.

These reloads are critical for our client and we're trying to escalate this issue. We've filed cases with both Salesforce and Qlik, We've also been referring them to this thread so they can see others are facing the same issue.

Indicators show us this is a Salesforce issue, but Salesforce is pushing back because the NA7 instance works with other API's and is only affecting the QlikView API connector. If other Qlik customers are experiencing the same issues with the NA7 instance, a mutual call between Qlik and Salesforce can only be beneficial to everyone. We would like a QV Connector specialist to participate on a call with Salesforce to help resolve this, Salesforce is starting to ask us technical questions about the connector we're unable to answer.

Please keep everyone updated and let's continue to push Salesforce and Qlik to work together and resolve this.

Hey Saperos,

This issue has been intermittent for us, for the past 3 weeks. Are you also using the NA7 instance? and what time did you notice it stop and start working?

Thank you,

Ben

Hello Ben,

No, we are using EU1, it stopped and started working approximately when I send previous messages

Salesforce appears to have resolved the issue with the NA7 instance, with their latest Spring release update.

We're waiting for an explanation regarding the root cause.

Hi Ben,

The fix on 4/4 to NA 7 resolved it for us as well. All we have heard thus far is that a malformed soap response was causing the premature end of file error and Saleforce fixed that...not sure what the exact fix was though. Will let you know if we get additional info.

Thanks for escalating as well! I think having multiple cases definitely sped up the process.
