Alternate States - show only when select

Hi Community

I have a bar chart and i have created 5 different alternate states for comparative analysis, but sometimes i may only want to make comparison between 2 groups, it's not neccesary to show all 5 bars all the time. Is there a way to hide the other groups/bars? This mean show only 2 bars if selections are made in Group 1 and Group 2. Show only 3 bars if selections are made in Group1, Group2 and Group3. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the system functions like GetSelectedCount() don't let you specify an alternate state (there is an idea for that you can vote for).

You can use a condition to check if you've limited the amount of values in the alternate state field to fewer values than in 1 state, so you actually made a selection (this will not correctly handle the case when you select all values, though).

See attached qvw. In this example it is possible to select all values. First choose the groups you want to compare, then select the values in the group listboxes.
