Help on hierarchy problem

Hi to all, I'm new with QlikView Desktop and I'm starting to explore the powerful features of this product.

I've the following problem:

two excel sheets AGENTI.xslx and CLIENTI.xslx

AGENTI.xslx contains two columns:

IDAG (contains the unique identifier for an agent)

IDAGFATHER (contains the unique identifier for the chief of the agent, if null the agent is on the top of the hierarchy )

CLIENTI.xslsx contains three columns

IDCLI (contains the unique identifier for the customer)

RAGSOC (contains a description)

IDAG (contains the id of the agent rseponsible for the customer)

I'd like to create a QlikView document that allow to perform the following operations:

1    If a choose an agent (for instance A6) I want to know all customer that have A6 as responsible (so in my excel must be displayed IDCLI = 2,3)

2    If a choose an agent  and thick on a checkbox (or some other idea) I want to know all customer that have A6 as responsible or a child of A6 in the hierarchy(so in my excel must be displayed IDCLI = 2, 3, 4,5,6,10,11) because 2 and 3 are related to A6, 4 and 5 related to A7 that is a child of A6, 6 and 10 related to A8 a child of A7 and 11 related to A9 that is a child of A8.

I hope this explaination is enough, if someone needs more info get in touch with me as soon as you like.

I've attached the both files.

Thank you to all for the help.

Fabrizio

Hi,

please see the attached file.

Here you will have the extra fields if you want to create a pivot table.

Good luck!
