How can I export the Variable Overview?

I want to export the table in Settings > Variable Overview ... so that I can more readily review and consolidate the variables in an application that I have inherited. I can see that there is an Export function for Settings > Expression Overview, but not for variables. I also tried File > Export > Document Layout, but the AllProperties.xml file that is produced merely lists the variables without giving their definitions/values.

Is there a way to do what I'm after?

Thanks.

Hi Gussfish,

You can probably do this by creating an input box, and adding all of the document variables to the input box. After this is done you can just right click on the input box and export to excel. This should now list a table similar to the one displayed on the variable overview.

Hope this helps,

Regards

GJ.

Hi all,

this works not for all...

but this is a good solution for the issue..

In this case, user has to verify the data after exporting....

Dear Nicolas,

The link you mentionned "http://community.qlik.com/forums/t/43690.aspx" is not available.

I appreciate if you can send me the file or a link to the document.
