Intuitive and good-looking TIME FILTER

Hi,

I have a table with fields YEAR , MONTH.

How can i create a TIME FILTER that let me select multiple period. ?

i'm looking for something useful to select a period FROM - TO. (p.e. FROM 2012/5   TO 2013/9)

i tried CALENDAR/SLIDER OBJECT but doesn't seem good looking.

Good solution but not useful for quick and frequent change of date range
