Set Analysis - numeric date range doesn't work

Hi Guys,

I am trying to get the total sales figures for certain accounts where their status "expiry date" is lower than the currently selected month. The vCurrentMonthSelection variable is a short date format variable 'MMM YYYY' and it is only takes the selected month from an alternative calendar what I use as a listbox for filtering. Anyway it is irrelevant from the point of the question I believe.

Unluckily it does not interpret the EndDateNum criteria. It does not work either with $(=vCurrentMonthSelection) also tried single cotes no success. Any idea why not? Both side are in the same format I double checked.

SUM({<Event = {'Sales'}, GroupAccountType = {'National'}, New_Renewal={'Re-opened','New'}, EndDateNum = {"> (NUM($(vCurrentMonthSelection)))"}>} TotalExcVAT)

Thanks in advance for any reply.
