Hi,
I have a general table with some calculations that can apply to different fields. I combined these fields in a variable.
A user can choose which field should be selected for the table with an input box. The input box lists the possible values.
Problem is that most field names have blank spaces. As a result the input box will show the field names within square brackets (see image).
Is it possible to get rid of these brackets in the input box?
Especially when some of the fields contained in a variable have blank spaces in their name and others haven't, it just doesn't look nice.
Thanks
Jan
Try the attached

Would you be able to share a sample to play around with this?
I attach a qvw. Field names are in Dutch, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Jan,
just remove the [ ] from the variable:
Hi Sunny,
thanks a lot for your answer!
Your solution works perfectly for the chart, where my variable is a dimension.
However, I also use the variable in the tables, where it is part of some expressions.
The same solution does not work for these expressions.
Any thoughts?
Jan
OK
I managed to get the expression right as well!
Thanks again.
