xIRR Function Problem

The issue is quite simple – if you have exactly the same value on the same date and the dimension that separates them is not part of the table then xIRR groups them, like a list box, and so misses some values.

For example if you have these cashflows:

Investor A

01/01/2001

1000

Investor B

01/01/2001

1000

Investor A

01/03/2001

2000

Investor A

01/06/2001

2500

Investor B

01/09/2001

500

And calculated IRR at a level that didn't include Investor, QlikView would ignore one of the first 2 cashflows.

Does this make sense and can anyone think of a way around it? I’ve tried putting sums etc. within the IRR function but it doesn’t likethat. Horrible way around would be to create aggregations in the load… but that causes big headaches.
