This message means that there are no CALs assigned for the user that is trying to log into the Access Point.  I get this message when I forget to allocate a Doc Cal, or I mispell the user name when I just type it in.  It also happens when I forget to click apply after adding a User to a Document or assign a User Cal to a user.  Just go back and check to make sure that the user in question has either a user Cal assigned to them, or check the document and make sure that the user has a Doc Cal allocated to them in the Documents tab of the QMC.

In the future, it helps to context around the error message.  Give us some background on the error, if you can.

Good luck.

Nate

To view the document you need a license.

You can get it from the QlikViewserver.

Maybe there are no more licenses to lease or the administrator disabled the automatic license lease.

This message appears after you update the server version of QlikView.
It is worth mentioning that the licenses are active.
Anyone know why?

If the message is

The server is currently out of SESSION and USAGE CAL's

the error has been identified as bug 44779 and comes after upgrading vom QV10 to 10.4 or 11.

It seems to be that the support works for it since Jan

Hi

Please check the count of "Number of CALs allocated to this Document: ", if this count is less than the number of users accessing it then it will throw you an error.

say 5 CALs are assign to XYZ.qvw document and you are adding 6th user then it will throw this error... so in this case just increase the "Number of CALs allocated to this Document: " to 6 will help you.

Hi

You have run out of available user CALs.

Go to QMC > System > Licenses

Click on the QV Server. On the General tab (on the right) you will see how many CALs have been assigned, and how many you have in you license.

Go to the Assigned CALs tab. Now go through the list and see which user's haven't logged in for a long time (you must decide how long). Now you can delete those assigned CAL's. Remember to click apply after each delete.

There should be some space now for new users.

If no CALs can be deleted, you will have to purchase more licenes.
