may be no of cal assigned to a application is less than users using

if you increase  it by one it will resolve your problem.

qmc-> user document-> click on qvw and assing cal should increased to one

or

you can assign  same use using

qmec->System->licences->client Access licenses->assigned cal->New user -> domainname\username-. apply

hope this helps

Hi All,

Here is exactly what we are facing:

Version of the Qlikview Server : 8.50.6299.5

Problem Description:  Customer has 3 Named User CALs. All the 3 CALs are assigned to t-nihar, Naveen and Arun .

After all the user  CALs get assigned the Document CALs are used to view the qvw file.

Customer has 747 Document CALs.

The problem is that after the named user CALs have been assigned the CALs are not fetched from the Document CALs.

And except the  3 users (T-nihar, Naveen and Arun)  the other users face the access denied error on opening the  document

Also the Document CALs Tab and  System tab  are not seen in the  Qlikview Server Management Console .

Any further suggestion.

Thanks,

Vijaya

ViJaya,

Your problem is that you are running 8.5. Document CALS were not supported until Version 9. In 8.5 there was a version of License call Q4C and it was a special license. So, to use Document CALS you will have to move to a newer version of QVS.

Also, version 8.5 is no longer supported.
