Alerts not working

Hello

I've got QlikView server for Windows server 2012

I've setup the SMTP mail server in management console and the test email was sent successfully

Now I added an alert to send email whenever a task fails; however this is not working

any idea why?

Please advise

Hi Ali,

Have you fill your adress mail in the Tab Alerts (System/Setup) ?

have checked on this for SMTP just to be sure

see one condition

1)SMTP server problem->Connection failed error

2)Alert condition not proper->wont show error alert

I've setup the SMTP and i was able to send a test email successfully

however the Alerts are not working when a task fails to reload

Alerts will work on two condition

1)Successful reload

2)On Open

Yes indeed and the test email was sent successfully by QlikView

Did you configured under "User Preference --> Mail" also...

Plz fill and check once again.

If you have not already used these steps then  it may help.

1. Login to QMC as System Admin

2. Go to System tab > Setup

3. Expand Distribution Services . Select Server Name/Host

4. On the right panel go to Alert E-mail tab

5. Provide Email ID and click Apply
