Best approach in sales and purchase from supplier link key ?

Hi All

I have a sales table and a supplier table.

I like to create the link key.

My purpose is to check for certain period how much it my sales and supplier purchase ?

my question in order to create link key , i should use filed = date to link both table . Am i correct ?

Surely the link between Supplier and Sales will be something like SupplierID?

May i know why you said should link thru supplier ID ?

As for my case my supplier ID only appear in my supplier purchase table. and it does not appear at sales table.

Edit :- i think i understand why you suggest link thru supplier ID is the best option , as it will be able to provide a lot of analysis. for example , each items should i can know which supplier we buy from and how much it our purchase price. For my case since my sales order table does not have supplier ID field. so alternative i should link thru date it is correct ?

Hi Paul,

Check whether there is any link between

Sales -> Products -> Supplier
