CALs missed after upgrading to version 11.20 SR13

Hello,

It's the third time that I get missed all assigned CALs (named and document) after upgrading from version 11.20 SR4/SR9 to latest version 11.20 SR13.

Is there a bug involved in this behavior ?

Please give me some feedback to how can I prevent this to happen again.

Are .pgo files involved in this situation ?

I have to upgrade another qlikview server to that version right now.

Many thanks for your collaboration in advance.

Best regards

Andrea

I would advise you to make a backup of the PGO files before doing the upgrade.

If you loose the PGO files or they get damaged, you loose the User and Doc CAL assignment.

May you live in interesting times!

The .PGO files that I have to backup before doing the upgrade are located in the folders below ?

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\Documents

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer

also if I get missed the CALs assignment after upgrade should I replace that files only to get all CALs assigned again like before ?

is there some changes of PGO files format between the two versions 11.2 SR10  vs  11.20 SR13 ?

Thank you to let me know.

I don't know if the format changed. I would assume not, but assumptions will kill me.

What I know is that CAL assignment is stored in those .pgo files so if they get damaged in any way, you loose that.

So restoring those files should fix your problem.

I'm getting a rollback action taking in place when finished to upgrade Qlikview server from 11.2 sr10 to 11.2 sr13

I saw in the log generated the following messages:

Overwrite;Won't patch;

Existing file is unversioned and unmodified - hash doesn't match source file

Overwrite;Won't patch;

REINSTALLMODE specifies all files to be overwritten

for many files I get the same message.

What can I do to go forward upgrading QVS ?
