Can't access QV 10 Accesspoint

hi All,

I installed QV10 Server product on Windows XP on a laptop (demo system).  I am using the bundled QV web Server.

Everything seems to start fine in terms of the Windows Services.  I can access the QEMC and QMC.  I have entered my license info which works.

I cannot however get the Accesspoint to work.

I tried...

http://localhost/qlikview

http://localhost/qlikview/index.htm

In QEMC

I have -> Servers -> Qlivkewi Web Servers -> My machine -> General -> Communication, I have port 80.

Under Web --> there are no Extensions/Mimes and my root folder is

QLIKVIEW with path = C:\Tools\QlikView\Server\Web (correct)

Under AccessPoint

  Path = /QvAJAXZfc/AccessPoint.aspx

working

http://localhost:4780/qmc/Default.htm

http://localhost:4780/qmc/Default.htm

Any help or Ideas would be appreciated.

Bernard

Do you have something else running on port 80? (Like IIS?)

Can you access QV server from QV desktop (menu file-> Open in Server) ?

You can download the app below and set it to read your log files to better understand what is going on

Hope this helps,

Like Erich, I suspect something running on port 80. Windows XP uses IIS 5.x which doesn't support port sharing like IIS 6 and up.

Also, what do you see when you access the AccessPoint URL? 404 File not found? or something else?

Hi Guys,

I am not runinng IIS on my machine.  When i initially tried to start the server i got a port error.  Changed my skype port and the QVServer came up.   I get error 404.

Also, do you run it as a local account server or dedicated user?

Cheers,

Bernard

What's the status of the "Qlikview Webserver" service?

Normally, I run all the Qlikview services as a network service account that has both local Administrator and Qlikview Administrator group membership.  As long as you are a member of both groups it shouldn't matter the ID.

The web server, and the rest of the servers say running from the qemc.

Do you see any warning or errors in the Web Server logs?   \QlikTech\QvWebServer\Log\....txt

You could also change the QV Web Server port in QEMC > System > Setup > QlikView Web Servers > QVWS > General > Communication > Port.  Then test against the new port setting to determine if it's a port 80 issue, or something else.

Good luck,

B
