Delete old qvw file in the management Console

Hi Friends

Our team have some old test dashboard shown on the tab 'Status'--'Tasks' on the qlikview management console. Please see the attachment. Right now we just disable them. We would like to get rid of them. We have not got a clue on the console and we already delete the raw file in our server.

Could someone show the right process to delete them from the list under the Tasks?

Thanks!

Hi Baiyang,

Before you delete / rename or move a QVW,

you should ALWAYS ensure that you remove any TASK SCHEDULES and remove / un-assign any document cals. You now need to recreate the OLD qvws in the same original folder with CASE Sensitive original name. You will then be able to disable the schedule and remove any cals. Once done you can safely delete / rename or move your qvws.

before deleting the file you need to delete the task otherwise it will remain as it and you cannot delete it from QMC..Chack with your Server ADMIN team they can delete the task from server end

Good day.

You will need to recreate these qvw files in the exact same folder as shown in your screenshot (build a new blank one of copying an existing app), then on the Documents tab in QMC, change the reload schedule to None and Enable them. Then you can delete the dummy apps.

Also make sure that no Document CALs are assigned to these when you set the schedule to None.
