Distribution service question

to launch a reload through a batch file , QV distribution service has always to be running right?

is the load balancer.xml  modified by it?

By saying "through batch" you're referring to reload using QV.exe command line or something else?

Yes QV distribution service should be in running mode in this condition and this will not effect balancer.xml file.

I don't think so. Why would you need Distribution Service when reloading via QV.exe? It's just a reload in place, no distribution involved at all.

On the other hand I'm not sure why would you like reloading via QV.exe if you have Published license.

Actually it is possible to reload a document through a batch mode , look into the QV server reference manual for more details.
