Document CAL settings disappear

We use a Qlikview 11 small business server with 50 document CALs.

There is only one qvw file deployed and we have allocated all 50 CALs to this qvw. Also, the option to dynamically assign CALs has been enabled. This setup has been active for some years without serious problems. However, in the last 3 weeks these settings are automatically reset to 0 CALs (see picture below).

Users get an access denied message. I have reapplied the setting several times but after 24 to 48 hours they are gone.

I have also tried restarting the services and even the server and we removed all pgo files.

Any idea what is causing this strange and annoying behavior?

Kind regards,
Dennis Appelboom

Hi,

I think your .pgo files are corrupted,

have a look at below post

Hi Ashfaq,

thank you for the reply. I just compared the pgo files and the BorrowedCalData.pgo file is out of sync.

I have stopped the Qlikview server, removed the BorrowedCalData.pgo file from both locations and restarted the server. Would this be sufficient or do I have to delete all pgo files?

I will keep comparing the time stamps of the two pgo files.

Monitor this change.

If it works fine

If not you have to try by deleting.

In this case you have to allocate cals again.

Note:

Please take proper backup

Let me know if that worked.

Document CAL may be lost if they have been allocated to the remote document. That would bring them back, you need to create a document with the same name and remove the allocation of licenses.

Perhaps my answer is not suitable for your question.

Hi Ashfaq,

removing the BorrowedCallData.pgo file looked promising however the problem returned yesterday. I had to add document CALs to the qvw file at least 5 times.

This morning I removed all pgo files from the two locations. Let's see if that gives a better result.

@Alexander, we only have one server and one document and the document always has the same name. So I do not think your suggestion will solve our problems in this case. But thanks mentioning it.
