Document won't load using Ajax client version 11.2 sr4

I just installed 11.2sr4 and it seems to work well until I copied the shared file over to test how it will perform.  With the shared file attached the app will only load with the IE plugin client.  When you try to use Ajax it hangs and loses it's session.  Anybody come across this?  Is this version no longer compatible with shared files created on previous versions?

So, after the new version is installed. Have you copied the meta file also or did you copy the shared alone. If so, i suggest you dont keep both the shared file and the meta file in the first instance. Run the job once to let the meta file get created and then just replace only the shared file.

Are you migrating from which version?

Have you used the new introduced share file cleaning tool to see if you have any corrupted items in your share file? A more indepth introduction as well as instructions how to use the tool are in the release notes for v11.20 SR4.

Good luck!

11.2 sr3

I did.  It doesn't work before or after I purge the file.  Plugin works slowly but ajax hangs and I eventually get a session lost message.

John - Wondering if you ever were able to get this resolved? Sounds exactly like the problem we are having in our environment. Although for us, it happened before and after our upgrade to 11.2 SR8. Qlik support is telling us the same thing that we need to clean our share file.

How long does it hang?  Does the sheet it is trying to load take a long time to load in the desktop client.  The default time out setting for QlikView Server is 60 seconds for an object.  Are you sure you are not reaching the time out?

You could try putting a calculation condition on the objects and see if the app will at least open then.

Our problem is slightly different than this original post – in that our ‘hanging’ happens at seemingly random times, and random places throughout our app. Most clicks are instant, but occasionally, the user will be clicking something and everything just freezes. I don’t think we’ve had a user patient enough to sit and wait for an error message because after about 15 seconds of being stuck, they have to close their browser and re-open it back up to get the document back.

So short answer is that these are sheets that load instantly 98% of the time as they are very small. Was just doing some research on that shared file since Qlik told us today that something could be corrupt in there that was causing problems.
