Enabling Macros in Dashboard Documents

Hi,

I have a series of users that selected to only run Safe Macros when they opened up one of our dashboards.  This is preventing one of the buttons in the dashboard from working.  How can the user change their macro preference to run all macros and not just the safe ones?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi everyone,

Someone outside of the Community clued me in to Ctrl+Shift+M.  That gives you access to the dialog box where you can make this change.

If they're using QV Desktop the can change those settings on the Security tab of the User Preferences window.

They're accessing the dashboard using IE with the IE plug-in.

Not quite sure if the plugin uses the settings.ini file too. Check if there's such a file in the users AppData folder (C:\Users\MyUserHere\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\Qlikview) and set the values for the security override parameters to 1:

OverrideModuleSecurity=1

OverrideLaunchSecurity=1

OverrideScriptSecurity=1

OverrideFileSecurity=1

These settings can be found in the [Settings 7] section
