You should be able to find the full error message in the QVS Event log as the event viewer seems to cut it short.
I can only speculate here but is it possible that the account running the QVS service does not have access to the G:\ mapped drive. Try setting the mounted folder up using UNC path, e.g. \\Machine\Folder and check that the account has the necessary file system permissions to the folder.
Otherwise I would suggest contacting support and supplying the QVS logs.
