Export to excel session.

Hi Community,

I am using an enterprise server. Once I open the Application in accesspoint and export the chart to excel - now I get a URL (to the excel).

The problem is - this URL is always active.. any other user can also post the URL and choose to download the file.

Is there any setting in server to manage the file export session?

Please reply ASAP.

Hi,

There are two settings you can use to control this.

•ServerTempSecTimeout=15 - server will delete temporary print files after this delay.

•RemoveExcelAfterDownload=1 - exported file will be removed instantly after download

Hi,

They need to be added to the QVS settings.ini file. The default location for this is C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer  and they need to go under the header [Settings 7]

When can we find these "special" settings in the Reference manual? I had a look in the reference manual for 11.2 SR9 and couldn't find them.

Are there any more of these nice settings?
