For new server installation do I need to restart the server?

Hi,

I want to unistall older version of QlikView(QV_Desktop_X86) and need to install new version(QV_Desktop_X64), in that case do I need to restart the services ?

In general, a reboot after a software install is never a bad idea.  A reboot will restart any services that closed. 

BTW, you double posted this...

It was by mitake posted twice..

I dont want to restart the serives if I am doing this task in the morning, becasue few reports are scheduled on the server that may affect..
