HOW TO: Lease a QV10 server license on a client machine

In order to apply the serverlicense on your client machine, you need to lease it from the server.

On the QlikView server you need to do two basic steps first;

1. Setup server to allow license leasing;

QEMC > System > Licenses > CALs > General > AllowLicense Lease

2. Register your user for UserCALs on the QlikView Server;

QEMC > System > Licenses > CALs >Assigned CALs

On the client side you then need to activate the license lease;

3. Open a document from server to establish the client server connection;

File > Open on Server…

4. After successfully connecting to the server document you will see on the QlikView startup screen that you are leasing a license.
