How can you move an existing access point from one server to another?

Hi all,

We currently have an existing Qlikview Server using the default website configuration. Our goal is to move the default website (Access Point) to a new stand alone server and shut down the exiting default website.

At the end project we need to have two servers; one for the QlikView server and publisher and another for the access point.  Please keep in mind that we currently have one server in production.

The reason for this change is that our customer is not happy with the default website at the same location as the QlikView server.

Thanks for your help.

Robert

Hello Robert,

Are you using IIS or the QlikView Webserver?

If your using the QWS then its as simple as installing just that service on your new server, running it with the same username as your QVS.

Then in your QMS you need to add the new web service into the list, and that should connect everything up.

Once working just stop the service on your existing server.
