How to Rollback Server to V9 from V10

Does anyone know how to successfully roll back 64 bit QlikView Server V10 SR1 to V9 SR7 on a Windows Server 2003 box?

I upgrading to V10 Server on a test box and would like to revert to V9, but I was unable to start the Qlikview Management Service. So, I uninstalled V9 and removed all the files from the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech" and "C:\Program Files\QlikView" folders.

Now, I can't reinstall version version 9. It gets through copying 90% of the file and then rolls back.

Any suggestions?

try to remove entries from registry for qlikview

then Install it agin.

I'm 100 % sure it will help you out.

  • Did you restart the machine between uninstall/reinstall?
  • Have you tried running the MSI installer with the log option to get an installer log?

1. Yes, I reinstarted the machine between uninstall and reinstall.

2. I'll try generating the log file. Good Suggestion.

How to Rollback Server to V9 from V10

Removed all entries from the registry, but the problem persisted by version 9 SR7. Removed the registry entries again and was successfull with version 9 SR6. Then upgraded to SR7 successfully.
