QLIKVIEW Server Installed Server Name : QLIKVIEWSERVER

I installed Qlikview IIS web server on a different server then my qlikview server. I want to use access point on IISQLIKSERVER and reach the qlikview documents on QLIKVIEWSERVER.

So, you installed QlikView IIS support on the IISQLIKSERVER? You should have a service there named QlikView Settings Service - can you verify that, and that it's running?

Next, add the IISQLIKSERVER to the service tree in QMC via System > Setup > QlikView WebServers > (add), and use URL http://IISQLIKSERVER:4750/QVWS/Service. This is the service URL that the QVSS on IISQLIKSERVER will host, much like as if you would have installed the QvWebServer on it.

Try that first.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I try it on Qlikview Server 10 but there is no service like Qlikview Settings Service.

What exactly do this service and what must i do in Qlikview server 10 ?

Thank you.

The QlikView Settings Service only exists (so far) in 11. Your question was related to 11, correct?

Anyways, the service provides an administrative interface instead of the AccessPointSettings.aspx file that was used for configuring the IIS from QMC/QEMC. The QVSS also handles QVS inter-communication certificates (SSL-encrypted communication between services) when using them and IIS in 11 - that's why it exists.

Stefan,

Even if using IIS, why don;t you use AccesspointSettings.aspx as url?

The reason i ask this, is because because my server doesn't allow to use port 4750. And i want to prevent to move to another port.

When i use AccesspointSettings.aspx was webserver url .. i get a webservice down message

Ok, i now have something with /Service and works fine.

Only problem is that this work under 4750 and that is not allowed on the server. Need to change this to 5555.

Besides the url in QEMC . what do i need to change?
