Hi,

It depends on the type of security you use for your implementation.

Let say NTLM.

Qlikview Security is tightly integrated with Windows security . Its works the same as Windows NTLM.

hi

For this Document level Security better go with Windows Folder level security , if you have multiple divisions

Other wise go for Section Access (for Sheet level security)

Hi,

If you have publisher then it will be handled by Qlikview itself while distributing.

If you have server only. Then go to Qlikview file you have in your document folder right click on it -->properties -->Security-->click on edit and add users you want.

Hi,

If you have publisher you can do this with ease. You assign the users to a document and this will set NTFS permissions when the document is distributed. Now if you don't have publisher you can manually setup the NTFS permission on the files, but I find the easy way is to put the QVS in DMS mode and assign users to the document under the Authorization tab under User Documents.
