Internet Explorer 8 - Internet Explorer has stopped working error

When closing activeX plug-in client screen in Internet Explorer 8 (Windows 7) we are getting an error. Any ideas / solutions?

Hi, in internet Explorer, tools, and addons, disable Adobe PDF Link Helper.

Did you ever find the solution to this issue?


I have a user running IE8 with this problem and he in fact did have adobe PDF link helper but disabling it made no difference.

Hi Matt,

The customer is on a patch build of QlikView Version 10.00.9274.8. They really need to move to SR6 and upgrade the plugin client. Then see if the issue is still there.

Thank you Bill.  I've notified them that an upgrade to QV10 SR6 or higher (including plugin) should fix this issue.
