Issue with Refreshing QlikView data

HI Team,

We have some problems with refreshing QlikView data from DSX(Demand Planning Software) Database. This job ideally takes 1:20 hrs to complete, but some time it just keeps running and fails or we must kill the process manually. We are seeing this happening quite frequently in our production server.  Please can you point us in a direction to see what might be causing this issue? Below is the screen shot of today’s run which we had to kill the process after running for 6 hrs. We have to update QlikView everyday as this tool is being used by the S&OP team for running reports on DSX data.

Did you see all the document logs for these failed tasks? What do they say?

Re: Issue with Refreshing QlikView data

Can you check the document log here please...On your server go to the below path and look for your current date folder and look for the dashboard name. There you can find documentlog txt file. Can you share that document file please...

Re: Issue with Refreshing QlikView data

Attached is the documentlog text file for 09/13/2017 the day the jobs failed. I do not see any error in this file (I might be wrong). Thanks for your help with this.

Oh you killed the process right? Or it failed automatically?

Re: Issue with Refreshing QlikView data

We had to kill the process as it was taking more than 6 hrs to complete.

Re: Issue with Refreshing QlikView data

Clearly the DocumentLogs don't contain any anomalies (except that one runs for 10 minutes and the opther for more than an hour, they both finish successfully) so the reloads appear to be ok. Then it must be during one of the following steps (reduce, save, transfer, distribute) that the QDS task locks up.

Care to post a complete TaskLog of one of the erreous executions? It's ok if you post the entire TaskLog from which you lifted the message that appeared in one of your earlier replies.
