Launching a .qvw file in windows 7 IE8

http://<machinename>/QvAJAXZfc/openmaindoc.htm?title=<screentitle>&url=http://<machinename>/QvAJAXZfc/AccessPoint.aspx?open=&id=QVS@<machinename>|<mountfolder>/<filename>.qvw

This is the url that i'm trying to launch from the application on IE8 but it says "page not found". It is really strange because the same url launches without any issues in windows XP IE8 and firefox. It also works fine in windows 7 firefox combinations. The problem comes only when it is IE8 and windows7. Is there a problem with recognizing the url in IE8?

In normal cases when the .qvw file is launched for the first time in any machine, a pop up comes asking for the credentials for the machine name specified in the url. (Be it windows 7 with firefox or windows XP [ IE8 or firefox ]). But for this to happen in windows 7 IE8, I had to change the security settings to unprotected mode in IE8. The first time it asked for the credentials but once the credentials are given it again says "page not found".

Is the Openmaindoc.htm a modification on the Opendoc.htm default page?

Is this all internally on the domain or are you trying to access an internal resource from an external machine?

We use openmaindoc.htm to call opendoc.htm in an iframe.

The machines are on the same domain.

I'm also facing same kind of issue:
The QlikView server environment is as follows:
OS: Windows, 64 bit virtual machine environment
QlikView server version: 9
Authorization : NTFS Authorization (Windows controls file access)

I'm unable to launch the QlikView client using thin client(IE browser) with either qvp or http protocol.
Using QlikView client 'Open in server' option works fine(qvp://host_address/mount_folder/sample.qvw).

Unable to launch the following urls using thin QlikView client IE browser.

Hi there,

I found the solution.

Open access point: eg: http://localhost/qlikview/index.htm

and open the reports listed in Access Point and whatever url you get out of this, use same url for your application and it should work fine.
