I did some research on providing access of QlikView accesspoint to external users (outside the company domain) or providing the access to QlikView dashboards to external users through some existing web application. Following are the ways to do -
1. Buy QlikView Extranet Server
2. Use a QlikView work bench license
Both of these approaches have limitations like -
1. QlikView Extranet Server (QES) can open only 3 documents which is weird. QES does not support ad-hoc reporting (server objects). Also there is a overhead of purchasing extra license.
2. Ad-hoc reporting is also not possible using the work bench license. Also i have to embed individual QlikView objects in my web page. There is no option to embed the entire QlikView document as is (if i am not mistaken).
Due to this the external clients/users cannot fully use the important QlikView features. I expect QlikView will consider these things in new releases.
