Network Traffic QV Server to Web Server

Hi

If one has separate QV Server and Web Server, what order of magnitude of network traffic should one expect between them ?

Obviously the answer depends on how many people are doing what, with what expressions and against how much data in what data model.  But I am just after general rules of thumb.

I am toying with the idea of having an on site QV Server and a Web Server in the cloud.

One particular thing that would be nice to know is that if one has a table object with say 1,000 rows selected and 20 rows displayed do all 1,000 row get sent over the network or just the 20 displayed and then others are sent on scrolling ?

Hi Bill,

It very much depends just as you are saying.

In general the clients are not receiving a lot of data. 10/10 mbit/s usually works fine for a minor server.
