Open in server vs Access point

Hi,

I would like to know the difference in Memory Usage & other resources when a qvw file is opened through 'Open in Server' using QV Personal Edition & while it is opened from the Access point.

Thanks

That behaviour isn't changed at all.

On the QlikView Server service side, regardless of whether you use the IEPlugin, "Open in Server" or AJAX the way the server will allocate core RAM is the same.

I guess the question is are you talking about on the Server or on the Client?

"Open in Server" should behave just like using the Internet Explorer Plugin so I would expect the server load to be similar for both.

Now comparing IEPlugin against AJAX would be a different conversation.

Thanks for ur reply.

I read in a document that the 1st user using the qvw through the Access Point takes 4 times the RAM of the size of the qvw and subsequent users take lesser RAM, does it work the same way using 'Open in Server' option ?

I mean is everything exactly the same as compared to the Access Point ?
