QMC says : DSC, QDS status disconnected - Qlik Community

<body>Hello All ! In the QMS Home, Status tab, the status of the services DSC and QDS were disconnected though the services are up and running. What is the problem? Also, the QMC and QEMC are working with well with Firefox 3.6.6 but not with Internet Explorer 8 which I just downloaded and Installed. The following message is seen when opened in IE 8. <quote></quote> Access Denied Membership of local security groups is missing. Please refer to the manual for more information. To start I would have to say you need to read the manual. However, for a short answer, this error is because the user you are login as is not a member of the QlikView Administrator group.

bbt: how do you know the user running the services is not in the Qlikview Administrators group?

Naming a user to run the services as part of the installation will place the user automatically in this group.
