QMC via browser or Server required?

Hi,

To logon to QMC, do we need to really need someone to be logged onto the server or can it be able to access from our system via browser. Kindly advice.

you need the QlikView server services running

and a browser on your system (pc) that can reach the qmc, usually at  http://nameoraddress:4780/QMC

as above, but remember that the user in question will need to be a member Qlikview Administrators Group on the QV server.

So, We would be able to open the QMC url only where Qlikview Servers are installed. Correct?

Maybe I didn't explain well

Often  all the QlikView server services are installed on a single server (serverA).

You can use any pc, server, etc, .... that can reach (with a browser) the url of the QMC, something like (add http) 

serverA:4780/QMC.

You don't need to be logged on serverA.

As I am requesting for Admin Access, I need to provide what actions we need for getting direct server access to, and which can be done by accessing via the browser externally? It may be that we still need to be log onto the box to start and stop Qlikview processes, or check certain things. Would like to check if there is any checklist.
