QV WebServer not starting

I am having problem in starting the QlikView Webserver service. I am getting the following error box:

'The QlikView Webserver service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.'

I tried a fresh re-installation but still the same error occurs.

In the Event log I get the following error:

  1. System.Exception: Failed to retrieve document list from the specified QVS

   at QMSBackendCore.Service.ServiceImpl.GetUserDocumentList(Guid qvsID)

   at QMSBackendCore.Service.ServiceImpl.Diagnostics.CacheDocumentAvailable()

Can you tell me how I can fix this please?

Hi guys,

Thanks for your quick reply!

After restarting the server I did not have internet access due to a change in a system variable. After running a command line provided by the company hosting our server, the service started successfully.

HI,

Are all your services on the same machine? The webserver talks to QVS on port 4747 so if the services are not on the same machine, need to make sure port 4747 is open between the two machines.

Have you a other Webserver running, wich own port 80.
