QV9 publisher not distributing document to all the users.

Hi Community,

We are facing distribution problem with QV9 publisher. Say I have a field Cust_ID having 10 records and publisher should publish the document to all the Cust_IDs. But if there is one grayed out value for Cust_ID, QV9 publisher will fail and will not distribute to the remaining Ids. In other words, it is not able to skip the grayed out values and go to next value. But QV8 publisher was working all fine.

Please let me know the way we can avoid it (preferably using publisher settings).

For example, if 4h ID is grayed out, QV9 publisher will distribute document only to 3 Ids nd will fail.

What do you mean by gread out. Can you explain it a bit more detail.

By Grayed out I mean the values which are not active and are not related to a particular selection. See the image below:

Here 1,2,3 and 4 are grayed out.

It should work as expected.

Do the following

1) make sure to run qlikview distribition service with administrative account and he should belong to qlikview administrator.

2) go to end user application folder for access point, Then remove that particular application which is giving you and error, take backup and remove from accespoint folder.

3)Restart all the qlikview services.

4) run task now.

My whole problem is that because of Grayed Our Ids, publisher job is failing and it is not publishing for all the Ids (for same application). All the other applications are running fine.

For that reason I suggested you to remove application by taking proper backups.

You can restore it at any time later if you want.

Can you let me know is that the only reduction you are performing or you have multiple reductions.

Can you send me the screenshot of your reduction you are performing on that particular application which is failing.

Hi Ashfaq,

I am using Lop and Reduce method for Cust Id to distribute to users. I think this is the problem with publisher. If there is any Grayed out value for Cust Id, the distribution will fail.For example, lets say I have 100 Ids to distribute. IF 60th Id is grayed out, then the application will be published to only till 59th user and for rest it will not publish.

Hi sharma,

No Its not the case. First let me know when you are doing loop reduce for all customer ID's where come there is a chance of selectind possible values and how come the values get grayed. Publisher will generate 100 applications for all 100 users.

In this case try to check server logs and just follow the above suggestion for once.
