We installed a new QVS9 sr2 and we get this problem
Does anybody have a solution for this?
Try (in this order):
1. Re-entering the password on the Log On tab of the Properties box of the DSC service. This will regrant the Log On as Service right.
2. Enter the account again by Browsing for it on that Log On tab rather than typing it in.
3. Create a new account, e.g., qlikview, make sure it is an Administrator and a member of the QlikView Administrators group and use that account to run the services.
All of those have worked for me on various QVS 9 installations in the last month.
Did you reboot the server?
Yes, we have restarted te server. It's a virtual server 2003 standard edition 64bit. The 64bit version is installed...

Hey,
Tnx for the reply. I will verify this in a couple days after testing it.
Can this new account be part of the domain?

Yes, a domain account will work fine.
What I have found is that when you install QV server, it asks for the account name in the format domain\accountname, but if the service stops running and you browse for the account as in my point 2, the account name appears in the format accountname@domain.com. I'm not sure what difference this makes, try both to see which works for you.
When you change the account settings make sure you stop and restart the service to check that the account can log on.
Also, on the Recovery tab of the service properties, set First Failure, Second Failure and Subsequent Failures to "Restart the Service", for all five of the QlikView services. That ended a lot of the problems I was having with keeping the services running.
