QlikSense licensing

Hi!

We are in the process of buying BI solution, and was wondering about this use case scenario. We have a few people that should be able to create reports and dashboards, and many users that should be able just to see them preferably via our web (for example like that host in web page option that PowerBI recently introduced. What I would like to know is how to achieve that with QlikSense, can we use free desktop version for creation, and buy Enterprise for publishing, are tokens needed for every person that watches reports, or just for creators, or maybe we can't achieve that with desktop/enterprise but need Cloud version, in that case, one user is creator or anyone with access to reports? And what about security in Cloud?

Thanks in advance for any help

can we use free desktop version for creation, and buy Enterprise for publishing,

Yes, you can use the free Qlik Sense Desktop for creating Qlik Sense apps.

are tokens needed for every person that watches reports, or just for creators,

Yes, you will need tokens for both creators and viewers. But you have a choice between assigning one token to one user or using a token for 10 login sessions. See the online help for more information: Managing license and tokens ‒ Qlik Sense. You'll have to decide what makes sense for your organization.

You don't need the Cloud version, unless you don't want the bother of having to provide and maintain the infrastructure needed to run Qlik Sense Enterprise.
