We are about to upgrade from QlikView 11.20 to QlikView November 2017. Our current set up is:
Server1
- QlikView Server
- QlikView WebServer
- QlikView Directory Service
- QlikView Management Service
Server2
- QlikView Distribution Service
I've looked around the QlikView Site, Official Qlik docs (including Deploying QlikView November 2017) and the forum, but I can't seem to find any clear concise information about where the services should be installed when we upgrade. I did find a few postings on the forum which seem in general to recommend this configuration for QlikView (11.20) Server and Publisher Server:
Server1
- QlikView Server
- QlikView WebServer
Server2
- QlikView Distribution Service
- QlikView Directory Service
- QlikView Management Service
This makes our configuration a little bit odd maybe. Anyway my question , is there any documentation on official guidelines or best practises to follow in regards to Setup/Configuring of Services for QlikView 12 and using 2 servers one for Publisher and the other for the QlikView Server.
