Qlikview Ops Monitor on Qlikview 10 Server on Windows 2008 64 bit R8 OS

Dear All,

I'm trying to make configuration for Qlikview Ops Monitor.qvw file on Windows 2008 64 bit Operating System. The folder paths are different than the config page of the documents. Has anyone make this configuration on Qlikview 10 at Windows 2008 64 bit operating system site.

Kind Regards,

Asim Akin

Hi Asim,

Where abouts in the load script is the Ops Monitor failing? Can you please provide details of any error messages.

The default config file includes references to Publisher log files which are not present if you have not purchases Publisher. If this is the case then you will need to exclude those parts from the load script. I tend to set the publisher related variables to null() in the config then wrap the parts of the load script that relate to publisher with an 'if not isnull()' statement.

LET QVPRpath = null();
LET QVPLogPath = null();
LET QVSLogPath = 'C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QVS';

Hope that helps.

Steve

Dear Steve,

Thanks for your answer. I have installed publisher on my server and my configurations are as below:

LET QVPRpath ='C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR';
LET QVPLogPath = 'C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService';
LET QVSLogPath = 'C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer';
LET metaPath='C:\Qlikview_Reports\QVS_MONITOR';
LET devmetaPath='C:\Qlikview_Reports\QVS_MONITOR';

And you can see the table structure below:

I have lots of error message during the reloading. Here is the first one:

Then it follows by another error messages:

I cannot sent the all of the error messages, but I think the first error message triggers the other ones.

I hope that information will help you to solve my problem.

Thanks for you support.

Hope to hear you soon.

Dear Steve,

I've solved the problem by commenting [Experienced Performance] field from Sessions tab of the load script. I don't understand the reason but this field runs fine on v9.

Do you have any idea about this field?

Hi Asim,

I have had to comment this field out on some v9 sites, but not on others. I don't know what causes it to be in the file or not.

Glad you found a resolution.

Steve

The "Experienced Performance" field was removed from the sessions log in v9 SR6. All previous releases should not experience this issue.

Hi - Anyone have a link to download the Ops Monitor for v10? I can only find instances for v9 - or is it the same app?

Thanks, Jay

Hi Jay,

I have used the v9 Ops Monitor on a v10 server without any issues. You may find you need to tweak the load script to remove some missing fields - as per the comments above. I'm surprised a v10 specific document hasn't been made available yet - particularly seeing there is the option for much more verbose logging in v10.

Steve
