Qlikview Server Services stops for no reason and cannot auto restart

We are using QV 11 SR2 11440 build on Windows Server 2003 64 bit. Every now and then our QV Server services stops for no reason and cannot reboot itself even after setting auto Recovery properties and Log on permissions.

Below is the error I get in Event Viewer

"The description for Event ID ( 300 ) in Source ( QlikViewServer ) cannot be found.

The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL

files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag

to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following

information is part of the event: qvpx: Exception while handling request. "

Let me know if you need additional information to debug. PLease help as this is very frustrating. Thanks.

Hi,

We are having similar issues - did you ever manage to resolve this?

I've read that this error may be related to running QV in a virtualised environment and using a SAN for storage - do either of these apply to you?

Many thanks,

Michael

Hi,

If QVS can't read the PGO files on startup, it will fail. So, if you are having connection issues with your SANs this can be your issue.
