I'm having a hard time finding out what versions of qlikview exactly offer what kind of features.
Basicly what I want is the (free) personal edition, with the possibility to open other people's documents.
What qlikview edition would I need and what would that cost me? Secondly, where can I get it?

If you only want a QlkikView Desktop that opens every document available, buy a QlikView Local License. Same price as a Named CAL.
Named and Document CALs are tied to QlikView Server, which - together with the minimum set of CALs - costs a bit more that a single license.
BTW The online product pricing information seems to have disappeared. You can search for it, and results will show you where to look for princing info, but the actual pages have gone.
